Guardi's Architectural Cappricio

This is my favorite of Guardi's works. I love how the arches naturally frame the area, helping the viewer's eyes find their way towards the brightly lit courtyard. Despite the abundant use of the color brown, this piece still demonstrates liveliness through the small yet effective highlights of bold colors and through each character's energetic movements. This piece simultaneously contains rustic and ornate qualities, which I love.
